The Cord

The culmination of a 4-week residency at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre with music producer Elise Reitze-Swensen, The Cord was created in the foyer of the Arts Centre, with development continuously open to the public. The Cord used a live microphone to capture the dancer’s and audience’s sounds, which were then composed live by Reitze-Swensen into a soundtrack for the movement. The residency also culminated in a 3-minute short film titled Filter, a comment on our nonchalance at rising sea levels, which was screened on the Perth Cultural Centre screen in 2018.
